Our Mission STatement

The Bible tells us in 1st Corinthians 10:31 to do whatever we do for the glory of God.  In a statement more affectionately known as The Great Commission, Christ himself gives us the command to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation..." (Mark 16:15).  God desires that we reach everyone with the hope of new life found in Jesus Christ.

"Find, Train Deploy!"

OUr Vision STATEMENT

We envision Breakthrough Community Church of God to be the premier church in our city, county, and state in the areas of both local and global missions and evangelism per capita.  We will offer differentiated ministries and interaction opportunities to and with our community and world at large from our distinct, Wesleyan-Arminian Pentecostal theological historical understanding of scripture and worship in orthodoxy (correct doctrine), orthopraxy (correct practice) and orthopathy (correct affection).  Finally, we will operate in the spirit of excellence towards a "Nehemiah" mentality of building God’s church in every arena of function without wavering.  Condensed, this means that our vision is constantly winning the lost, discipling the found.

Winning the lost

Every one of us is imperfect!  We know that quite well.  What we often fail to realize is that while we are imperfect, we are also lost.

Jeremiah 50:6, says "My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace."

What each and every person needs is a Savior!  We have all fallen short of the glory of God!  BUT, here's the good news, JESUS is that Savior!

He died on the cross, bearing our sin and shame, and rose from the dead on the third day, A HISTORICAL FACT, and He is coming again to receive all that have given their hearts and lives to Him.

He is the one we work for, live for, and strive to emulate!  He is our Great Shepherd!

If you don't know Jesus as your Savior today, just call on His name right now and He will hear you!

Pray this prayer from your heart, "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.  I am sorry for all my sins, mistakes, and failed life choices and lifestyle.  Forgive me today as I believe in my heart that You died for me and I confess with my mouth that You rose from the dead.  I renounce all other gods, bad habits, bad language, and all things the Bible declares as sin and I turn to you now and give you all that I was, am, and will be.  In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN."

If you prayed that prayer and meant it, JESUS IS YOUR SAVIOR!  That is the only requirement for Heaven's entry.  However, while you are on the Earth, you and I and all of us, we need to be discipled.  We have a place for you!

DISCipleship

Discipleship is more than a class. It is more than a one time Bible study or even a series of studies. Discipleship is "followership".

That term "followership" means that Jesus leads me, then I lead someone else to Jesus, then they lead another.

This is outlined perfectly by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."

In order to achieve a greater discipleship model, we offer many training times and varied classes.

On Sunday mornings, we have service to teach and preach to all who attend so that they can better understand the Word of God.  We have Children's Church at the same time as regular service and it all begins at 10:30 am.

After July 4th, 2019, we will once again be offering Sunday evening services for the entire family to be in the same room for inter-generational worship!  That will begin at 6:00 pm.

We have classes on Wednesday nights for adults and children called the Family Training Hour and we start at 7:00 pm.

We have JOY ministry for Senior adults, IMPACT ministry for Career Ages, Music Ministry, Youth and Children's Ministries, Boys and Girls Clubs, and our Food Pantry Ministry.  We have a place for you!

SEND

This is the most important part of the discipleship process.   Leading someone else to Jesus!

No, it doesn't take a seminary degree to introduce someone else to Jesus!  All it takes is enough boldness to tell your friends, "This is what Jesus did for me..." and go from there.  People do not care how much we know, until they know how much we care!

So, this is the final part of the mission.  Yes, it is "go and tell" but, more importantly, it is "show and tell."  Tell them what Jesus has done for you, but show them the live that you now live in Christ Jesus and invite them to church with you!

AND, just so you know, EVERYONE is welcome at Breakthrough Community Church.  We have a place for you!
